Home of Halloween

From 5 through to 31 October, the Amsterdam Dungeon will be the Home of Halloween. With a temporary, extra scary séance show, a new voiceover show and extra Halloween decorations, this is the best time of year to visit the Amsterdam Dungeon.



Step into Amsterdam’s horrible past!

Dive into a world of excitement and comedy and discover 500 years of the city’s darkest and cruellest history. Special effects, smells, smoke, lighting, costumes, decor, and the setting itself, which is a real former church, will provide a sober and unique atmosphere. Eleven different shows and a team of nine professional actors will give an unforgettable performance which will be terrifying and hilarious at the same time, depending on your tolerance for fear. Some of the attractions include figuring your way out of a dark labyrinth, witnessing a witch burn, encountering the ghost of a tortured woman, and being tried by a Spanish Inquisitor. The Amsterdam Dungeon is a multisensory experience where you’ll be able to touch, smell, see, hear, and sense everything around you.
