Il programma nel dettaglio

Take a stroll through one of the most charming cities in the Netherlands: Utrecht. In this beautiful medieval city you can explore the canals of Oudegracht and Nieuwegracht, famous for their unique views, with wineries and wharves at water level.

Admire the grandeur of St Martains Cathedral, dominated by its tower (Domtoren), the highest point of the city and the highest historical monument of the country. Inside the Dom Square you will also find significant buildings, such as the Academiegebouw, the Pandhof or the statues in honour of the liberation of the power of Nazi Germany in the Second World War. Through its labyrinthine streets you will also discover numerous Romanesque churches that populate the city.

Not far from Utrecht stands Haar Castle, the largest and best preserved castle in the Netherlands. Built during the 14th century, this luxurious neo-Gothic-medieval castle was designed by one of the most prestigious architects of the time and extensively resorted by P.J.H Cuypers, architect of the Rijksmuseum and the Amsterdam Central Station to name but a few. Whilst at this fairy tale castle, do not forget to visit its impressive gardens before returning to the capital.
