Rotterdam is a modern city where you can see contemporary buildings created with strange and eccentric shapes carried out by world-renowned architects. With this visit you can explore the old town and head towards the modern area of the Maas riverbank.
In the first stop you will find the Verwoeste Stad (The devastated city), a monument of Ossip Zadkine, a French sculptor born in Russia, who remembers the devastation that this city suffered during World War II.
Shortly after, you will pass by the Cube Houses, a group of mind boggling house, which are among the most striking buildings of modern Rotterdam. You will also see the "Witte Huis" (White House), one of the few buildings that survived the bombing of World War II.
At the second stop you can enjoy the best views from the river bank and admire New York Hotel building, where the former headquarters of the Holland/America Line was located. Your passage through Rotterdam will end at the highest point of the city, the Euromast, a 185 metre high tower, whose restaurant boasts the best aerial view of the city.
Travel on from here to The Hague, the administrative canter of the country, where the Parliament is located, a group of buildings known as the "Binnenhof". Large avenues, majestic buildings, palaces and large areas of green areas give a stately air to this city. On this tour you will visit the "Palais Noordeinde", the King's work centre, the prestigious Mauritshuis museum and the Peace Palace, where you will make a short stop.
To end the day, you will visit the city of Delft, which was founded in the 11th century next to the canal "The Delf", to which it the city owes its name. The history of Delft began on April 15, 1246, when Count William II of Holland, granted the municipal charter to the city. Sadly in 1536 a large part of the city was destroyed by fire.
