Il programma nel dettaglio

Come and discover Barcelona's modernist legacy from a different perspective in this scooter tour. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide you'll whizz around the city on a scooter as you learn about the impressive architectural heritage left by such talented architects as Domenech i Mutaner and Puig i Cadafalch and the great visionary himself Antoni Gaudi. Explore modernist Barcelona at your own pace from the mountains down to the sea.

Modernisme is an architectural style that became popular in Catalonia and especially Barcelona at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th Centuries. Your guide will provide you with a wealth of information about this colourful organic style, characterised by the predominance of the curve over the straight line and by its wealth of decoration and detail, using stained glass, wrought iron and mosaics of ceramic shards known as trencadis.

Some of the buildings we will visit include the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's unfinished masterwork as well as his well-known works on the classy Passeig de Gracia, Casa Mila and Casa Batllo. We'll also visit the nearby Illa de la Discordia with buildings designed by Domenech i Mutaner and Puig i Cadafalch. This afternoon tour is fully guided and includes helmet, basic insurance, roadside assistance and a lock.
