Carry Toledo in your pocket with the fantastic Toledo Card, which gives you access to the city’s major attractions and museums as well as including lunch at a top restaurant. And you travel back in time to Spain’s historic capital in the most futuristic way possible aboard the high-speed AVE train, which hits up to 250km/h.

Thanks to the handy and value-for-money Toledo Card, you can avail of free entry to the glorious Gothic cathedral, the Church of Santo Tome, the Santa Maria la Blanca Synagogue and San Juan de los Reyes Monastery. You will also enjoy a panoramic bus tour, use of the double-decker, open-topped Toledo Tourist Bus and lunch.

Begin with the panoramic guided from the AVE train station to the city centre. For the cathedral visit, you will enjoy preferential access and a guided tour. Learn all about this vast Gothic structure, which took 266 years to complete, as you hear about the workmanship involved in the vaulted ceilings, the elaborate rentable, the stained glass windows and other aspects. Visit Santo Tome, which was El Greco’s parish church and is where his ground-breaking masterpiece The Burial of the Count of Orgaz is displayed. Contemplate the tragic history of Spain’s Jews at Santa Maria la Blanca, which is believed to the Europe’s oldest synagogue. Admire the architectural gem that is the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, which blends Mudejar and Elizabethan Gothic styles.
