Il programma nel dettaglio

Experience Stockholm by foot - all the main sights plus some secret gems! There is a lot more to Stockholm than just water and bridges! With 750 years of history the city is never short of a story to tell.

SoFo (South of Folkungatan) is a play on the acronym SoHo, one of the coolest districts in the world according Vogue. Today it is known as the trendiest area in Stockholm.

Starting from the beginning, Södermalm is where we placed people when we ran out of space in the Old Town. It holds a lot of great, but horrific history, beautiful views and as if that weren’t enough, it is also the home of Lisbeth Salander & Mikael Blomqvist, where the now world famous Millennium trilogy all started.

Before we take you to SoFo, we will journey through history, witch trails, executions, the life of the working class, all leading us up to today’s Latte Mums’s & Sourdough Dad’s.

What is a Must See in Stockholm? In our opinion the city is filled with must see places, but to make it easier for you we have narrowed it down to three main sites, the Old Town, the island of Djurgården and the Vasa Museum.

Our adventure begins at Stortorget, the main square, of the Old Town. This is where Stockholm was once founded. Here we will listen to stories and legends about the city and the people that used to lived here. On our walk we will also pass some of the most known sights of the area, e.g. the Royal Palace, the Coronation Church and St George and the Dragon.

The walk of the Old Town ends by the Djurgården Ferry which will take us across to the island of Djurgården. The ferry ride only takes between 7 to 10 minutes but allows us to see parts of Stockholm from the waterside.

Arriving on the island of Djurgården we will continue our walk through a beautiful neighbourhood that many people miss when visiting ‘Stockholm’s recreational area’. The walk takes us to the Vasa Museum; the world’s most visited maritime museum! This soon-to-be 400 year old wooden ship stands before almost 100% intact despite being under water for 333 years. 98% are original parts! We will give you a 30-minute guided tour of the museum and thereafter our time together has come to an end, but you can stay on and explore the ship and the museum.

To find your way back into town you can walk, take the tram or catch the Djurgården ferry back to the Old Town.
