Il programma nel dettaglio

Leave the city of Stockholm behind and head out into the countryside to Drottningholm Palace and Sigtuna.

HIGHLIGHTS:

* Drive through the countryside along Lake Mälaren

* Visit the permanent residence of the royal family

* Wander around the oldest preserved town in Sweden

Dominating the countryside west of Stockholm, a drive along Lake Mälaren provides us with a delightful day trip. Visit Drottningholm Palace, Sweden’s best preserved royal palace, and Sigtuna where you can find some of the best cinnamon buns in Sweden.

Built during the 1600s Drottningholm Palace is a Unesco World Heritage Site where the King and Queen live and have brought up their children. It is one of ten palaces that the royal family has at their disposal and its European architecture is astonishing.

The tour then continues to Sigtuna, the smallest and oldest preserved town in Sweden. Its charming multi-coloured wooden houses and view over Lake Mälaren make it an enchanting place to wander around. Here you can also find some of the best cinnamon buns in Sweden, an ideal place to stop for a traditional Swedish Fika.
