Explore Amsterdam’s picturesque waterways and discover its narrowest canals and hidden corners in your small open-top boat. Thanks to its reduced size, your boat is able to access routes and places that are not available to the majority of tourists. Not only cruise the wide Amstel River and the popular 17th century canal belt but also glide down the narrow passages of the famous Red light District from a unique vantage point. Listen to your captain as he regales you with interesting stories and anecdotes of the rich history of Amsterdam and be sure to bring your camera to take photos of the famous landmarks you will pass.Designed and dug in the 17th century during the Dutch Golden Age, Amsterdam’s extensive canal system is an impressive feat of engineering spanning over 100 kilometers and featuring 1,500 bridges. Guided by your experienced captain, you will explore these famous passages which offer beautiful views of the city and the famous buildings that line the canals. Sail past Amsterdam’s illustrious museums of art and history and admire the impressive town houses built on the river.
Then head up the narrow canals of Amsterdam’s world-renowned Red Light District and marvel at its infamous glass doors and windows. One of the city’s oldest districts, it is guaranteed to be vibrant no matter the time of day.
Meeting/pick-up point: Exchange voucher and reserve a timeslot and your seat(s) at our excursion office at Damrak no. 26. Departure: Dock across from the NH Barbizon hotel across Central Station.
