Il programma nel dettaglio

Wing your way along the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway with this incredible floatplane trip to discover wonderful Whistler. Set out by bus to pass 7,000 foot mountains and vast ocean vistas and see the second largest granite monolith in the world, the Stawamus Chief, a sacred site for the indigenous Squamish people. Walk to the base of Shannon Falls, a 335-metre (1,000ft) waterfall cascading down among old growth forest into Howe Sound. Finally, visit the snowy streets of Whistler, which made a picturesque backdrop to many events in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

There are plenty of stops and lots to learn from your knowledgeable guide before you arrive at Whistler, with its alpine chalets and towering peaks. Wander the pretty streets or raise your heart rate with a ride on the world record Peak 2 Peak Gondola, linking two mountains and offering breathtaking views. Exclusive reduced price tickets are available from your guide. Visit the new Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Museum, the very first museum of its kind dedicated to the local Squamish and Lil’wat peoples. The beautiful building is designed to emulate traditional indigenous buildings, and inside you’ll find a treasure trove of cultural artefacts, informative footage and photography, as well as a café serving delicious indigenous-inspired foods. Learn about the incredible spirituality, art and technology of the Squamish and Lil’wat peoples, and their remarkable relationship with the awesome rainforests of the north.

Then take to the skies for an awe-inspiring floatplane flight back to Vancouver’s Coal Harbour. Discover the dramatic and rugged landscape of British Columbia as you soar among the clouds, over glacial lakes and mighty mountains, before touching down safely back in Vancouver.
