Fuerteventura At first glance, may not seem too appealing. But to get to know the island, you will understand the words of the writer and poet, exiled, Miguel de Unamuno. He described the island as a quiet oasis in the desert of civilization.


The tour takes us to Tiscamanita, Antigua where we see the church. On the way north, we passed through Puerto del Rosario, the capital of the island, up to the Natural Park of the Dunes of Corralejo, with 25 square miles of stunning sand dunes, offering the opportunity to create a unique picture.


From the port of Corralejo, we can enjoy the view of the small island of Lobos and the neighboring island of Lanzarote, with its spectacular volcanic mountains .We approach Villaverde to take a lunch, tapas and typical Canarian dish. Continue along La Oliva up to the Mirador de los Reyes, and we approach “the Goat farm Pepe”, to taste their typical cheeses “majoreros” and learn something of the culture of the famous use Aloe Vera.


Finally, we come to the village of Betancuria, former capital of the island, conquered by Jean de Bethencourt. Here we visit the Casa de Santa Maria, a spectacular 17th century restored house, where we see some typical canaries things and a multimedia show about the four seasons on the island. Through the winding road, we came to the village to see his church Pájara with Aztec style. From there we returned to our starting point.
