* Visit the largest underground cellar in the world

* Cava tasting and electric train ride

* See why the mountain of Montserrat is unique

Beyond Barcelona are spectacular and diverse landscapes. The most stunning of all is Montserrat, with its serrated profile, views, ancient monastery and holy shrine. South of Montserrat is el Penedes, a rough and dry region with an ideal climate for vineyards. Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and experience harmony surrounded by nature.

Meet your guide in the centre of the city and climb aboard an air-conditioned bus that will take you to Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, known as the capital of cava. Here you find the Codorníu Cellars, an impressive Modernista style complex with over 450 years of history housing the world's largest underground cellars. Delve into its wineries to learn about the origins and culture of cava, gaze out over the extensive rows of vines with an electric train ride and enjoy a taste of cava before the end of your visit.

Continue your journey through the Montserrat Natural Park, an important enclave of Catalan culture that has roads, caves, chapels and shrines carved into the mountain. Admire its extraordinary landscapes and breathtaking views. On arrival at Montserrat, enjoy a tour so that you can discover some of the major attractions such as the Basilica, the Monastery and the museum. Then you have free time for lunch and to explore the area before returning to the city.
