Il programma nel dettaglio

Slip on your most stylish walking boots and grab your guide to modern art for a tour that uncovers the fashion and arts scenes of Vancouver on foot. Stroll through Vancouver’s thriving arts and entertainment districts of Yaletown and Grandville Island, and visit art galleries, fashion boutiques, and trendy restaurants and cafes.

Starting at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the heart of Downtown and wander down to the hip neighbourhood of Yaletown, which was once a warehouse district and rail yard. Now it’s the toast of Vancouver with plenty of red brick charm, warehouses converted into cool loft apartments, organic food markets, yoga studios and sushi bars. Next, take a scenic passenger ferry ride along False Creek to Granville Island, known as the artists’ neighbourhood. The island boasts dozens of artists from glass blowers to classic wooden boat builders, all demonstrating their crafts and offering pieces for sale.

The tour ends at Granville’s colourful public market, where stallholders showcase the best of British Colombia’s craft and cuisine. From handmade hats to organic bath oils it’s an ideal place to shop for gifts. There are also farm-fresh vegetables, artisanal sake sellers, and all kinds of maple syrup products on offer. Your guide can give you suggestions for lunch, art galleries, and live theatre. Or choose to return to your starting point.
