Follow the compass needle north when you navigate to the North Shore and Grouse Mountain, Vancouver’s very own alpine playground. Among the mountains and ancient virgin forest lies a wonderland of adventures for the whole family when you venture out on this exclusive private tour.

First stop is a chance to cross the Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres above a spectacular river canyon, among the tops of the lofty Douglas firs. Guaranteed to get your heart racing, it’s been drawing brave visitors to the park since 1889. There’s also the Treetop Adventure, a series of smaller suspension bridges, and the opportunity to learn more about the woodland with the interactive Living Forest Exhibit. For the ultimate rush, the new cliffwalk attraction lets you ‘hang out’ over the Capilano Canyon itself. This incredible walkway hugs the cliff face and offers 360° views of the lush rainforest below. You’ll also discover First Nations artisans practising their crafts and learn about their unique heritage.



Then take the Skyride to the top of Grouse Mountain, 1,100 metres (3,700ft) above the city. Enjoy plenty of free time to explore at your own pace. Several lunch and dinner venues are available, as well as souvenir and gift shops. In the winter, tour fee includes access to the Theatre in the Sky, snowshoeing, ice-skating, the magical Peak of Christmas celebrations, and sleigh rides. In the summer, visit the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife and its resident grizzly bears and wolves, take advantage of complimentary scenic chair rides, and view Grouse Mountain’s world famous lumberjack shows and bird demonstrations. Time and interest permitting, the tour can also stop at the Capilano Fish Hatchery, where you will learn about the life cycle of salmon and visit the Cleveland Dam.
