Il programma nel dettaglio

Hop on the City Sightseeing Blue Mountains Explorer bus from Katoomba Station, which is easily reached by train from Sydney. Surrounded by more than one million hectares of declared World Heritage National Park, The Blue Mountains Explorer bus tour gives you great photographic vantage points, easy to manage bush walks, the chance to step onto one of The Three Sisters, ride the cable cars at Scenic World or take in the art galleries or coffee shops.

Hop off at Scenic World and enjoy breathtaking views through a glass floored cabin above ancient ravines and astounding waterfalls. Travel the 720 metre journey at 270 metres high and take in the sights of The Three Sisters rock formation, the famous rock formation representing three sisters who, according to Aboriginal legend, were turned to stone. Look out over The Katoomba Falls, Mount Solitary and the wide expanse of the Jamison Valley. Or take the cableway on a 545 metre ride through the rainforest of the Jamison Valley, to the base of the Scenic Railway. The railway descends the steepest incline in the world and journeys through a cliff side tunnel and into the ancient rainforest. Hop off at the Katoomba Cascades or the Leura Cascades and marvel at the beauty of the Blue Mountain Falls.

Hop off at the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company and observe the chocolatiers demonstrating their craft and discover the history of chocolate through an interactive experience. Children may wish to enjoy the playground while the whole family can peruse 50 different varieties of chocolate, cakes and confectionary and relax with a mug of real hot chocolate. The Blue Mountains has long been an artistic and bohemian centre. The region is home to some of Australia's finest landscape painters, sculptors, glassmakers, craftspeople and contemporary artists - many of whom are represented at Katoomba Fine Art and the Lost Bear Art Gallery. The gallery is host to a superb collection of paintings, sculpture, ceramics and hand blown glass from a wide range of established artists. Hop off the bus tour and visit Leuralla, New South Wales Toy & Railway Museum. Be delighted by the museum’s collection of Victorian penny toys, tin toys, lead soldiers, farm animals and dolls houses. The museum is also home to 1950s Japanese toys such as toy robots, trucks, aeroplanes and cars. Be enchanted by the antique model trains and the huge doll and teddy bear collection. Your visit also allows you to explore one of the oldest Blue Mountains’ heritage listed homes set within twelve acres of beautiful gardens. Everglades Garden is one of Australia’s foremost heritage gardens. This 1930s gem boasts breathtaking views over Jamison Valley.

Hop off at Leura Village where picturesque gardens and sophisticated shopping are on offer. The historic village centre presents boutiques, spas, eateries and galleries within breath-taking architecture, leafy greens and spring blooms. Beyond the village awaits the World Heritage Blue Mountains National Park with its bushwalks, waterfalls and cliffviews. Visit Lyrebird Dell, where you can discover a huge overhanging rock which was used as an Aboriginal shelter some 8000 years ago. The dead, hanging swamp above the shelter made it eventually inhabitable, and so a second shelter was established fifty metres downstream. Hop off at The Edge cinema which hosts a 38-minute giant screen movie about the Blue Mountains. Discover all about the stunning scenery which surrounds you, the rainforest and the adventure sports on offer. The cinema also screens conventional movies and classic films. Let City Sightseeing highlight all there is to do and see throughout your stay at the Blue Mountains. Enjoy a fun and informative bus tour with your ticket which is valid all day.
