Il programma nel dettaglio

Behold the beauty of Vienna with this two-hour walking tour that offers the perfect introduction to the City of Music. Learn all about its fascinating history, the awe-inspiring architecture, its rich culture heritage and about the people who have helped make this city on Danube a byword for sophistication. See the main sights and attractions, and get all the background on them during this intriguing journey back in time.

Begin your adventure at the monumental Michaelerplatz, which represents Vienna old and new. Roman ruins share the square with a baroque church, the imperial palace and the controversial Looshaus. See the world-famous Spanish Riding School, the Hofburg palace in its full glory and the vast Heldenplatz, dedicated to Austria’s military heroes. Nearby are the Josefsplatz and the imposing National Library.

Admire the amazing Abertina museum, which is located opposite the striking Monument Against War and Fascism. See the legendary Sacher Hotel, spiritual home of the Sachertorte, one of those incredibly chocolotey cakes that Vienna is so famous for. Prepare yourself for the stunning State Opera, one of the jewels in Vienna’s crown. Stroll through the Neuer Markt before reaching the unassuming Capuchin Church, which is the final resting place of 12 Habsburg emperors and 18 empresses among others.

See Mozart‘s last residence, an elegant townhouse near the Church of the Teutonic Order and wander through the trendy Blutgasse district, hearing all about the myths and legends associated with it before admiring the Gothic grandeur of St Stephen’s Cathedral.

Meeting/pick-up point: Michaelerplatz, in front of the ruins facing the church. Duration: Two hours.
Others: The tour will take place regardless of weather conditions.
