Begin by crossing the Tagus River by way of the historic '25th of April' bridge, and heading down the coast to the evocative Arrábida hills. With a landscape of vivid green vegetation and colourful flowers overlooking an idyllic sapphire blue ocean, remark at Mother Nature's handiwork as you take in your surroundings. Continue on to the breathtaking rugged rock cliffs of Cape Epischel. Further along, admire the culture and tradition of Sesimbra and Azeitão. With old stone buildings and churches, you'll see remembrances of the days of yesteryears still present in the villages today. With all the stunning scenery to behold, you're sure to work up an appetite. Enjoy sampling the regional fares with a wine and cheese tasting and a traditional Portuguese lunch at local restaurant, before heading north to make your return.
